Case Studies:

Tyeware has a diverse range of customer success stories. The following case studies demonstrate our expertise in software development and ICT consultancy. The identities of these clients have been concealed for reasons of commercial confidence:

ASP to .Net Conversion

Tyeware worked to revise and modernise a corporate application that had originally been developed in-house in the programming language ASP and was used by 2,500 users. Through a phased process, the application was rebuilt in .Net and SQL Server, with the system's functionality re-visioned to more closely align with organisational best practice. The completed application made strong use of dashboard and role-based usability and demonstrated high skill in .NET, SQL Server, AJAX and open web coding standards. The project was completed within budget and within time expectations.

License Compliance Audit and Procurement Consultancy

Tyeware performed a broad license audit as part of a large organisation's renegotiation of its Microsoft Enterprise Agreement. Future requirements were married with existing licenses entitlements in order to place the organisation in the best position of negotiation. Strategies were implemented to minimise license wastage through alternate licensing arrangements and any non-compliances were able to be rectified from a strong position. Procurement arrangements were also facilitated with applicable Microsoft Large Account Resellers. This consultancy also featured the assessment of high-complexity and high-risk licenses relating to SQL Server in a high virtualisation environment

Corporate Applications Extension

For a large, diverse and compliance-heavy organisation, Tyeware was engaged to provide a .Net solution which could operate hand-in-glove with the corporate ERP which was based on PeopleSoft. Tyeware was able to devise a solution which extended the corporate system's functionality whilst still enforcing the "single point of truth" in the PeopleSoft system. This solution was achieved at a considerable cost saving to the organisation in comparison to the customisation of the original PeopleSoft system and Tyeware has been contracted to deliver support for this system within a tight service level agreement.

Business Requirements Capture

For a large organisation, Tyeware facilitated a business functional requirements gathering process relating to new system for the tracking of safety, risk and incident management. Tyeware built organisation-wide consensus and signoff for the system requirements in an environment which included a large number of diverse lines of business, each with different priorities and business processes. Tyeware performed a pre-tender market scan in order to determine the best strategy for either buying or building a solution, using its proprietary "Complexity Uniqueness Indicator". Tyeware also contributed towards the procurement process through a formal tender.

Disaster Management Planning

For an organisation with over 700 users, with a critical responsibility for response to regional disasters and emergencies, Tyeware developed a diverse plan for disaster response and risk management. This included the development of disaster event response plans, a complete assessment of ICT risk and an audit of the organisation's disaster recovery systems in accordance with ISO/IEC 24762:2008.
